There seems to be only one thing keeping Sarper and Shekinah’s relationship intact.
After a massive fight left Sarper threatening to leave Shekinah and move back to Turkey, the pair took some time apart. On the May 11 episode of 90 Day Fiancé, three days passed and things still weren’t resolved, so Sarper decided to try a different tactic to push Shekinah’s “reset button.”
“After our last conversation in the house, we didn't get along,” he explained. “But then something happened in the middle of the night. I couldn't think with this head, another head. I just sneaked to the upstairs like a tiger. When we woke up the next morning, everything was a little more smooth.”
Shekinah then admitted, “I guess sex is the glue that holds us together.”
Calling it his “animal instinct,” Sarper echoed her sentiment, saying that “sex is a trigger to change everything.” TLC Shekinah and Sarper on 90 Day Fiancé
Still, Shekinah reminded him that even though they were getting along again, they needed to discuss the issues that led to their near-breakup.
“We have things we need to work on — communication, we need trust,” she noted. “Just because we had sex doesn't mean everything's forgiven and everything's okay.”
“I know that, [but] that physical connection, that chemistry between us, just helps everything to calm down at least,” Sarper replied. “Maybe we can think more…”
“Rationally,” Shekinah completed the sentence in agreement.
She went on to tell Sarper that his struggle to adjust to living in the United States is not an excuse to treat her badly, especially when it leads to them giving each other the silent treatment.
“I didn't leave the house, rent another place or stay there,” he pointed out. “So always, I am trying to somehow keep the connection.”
“That does not make it better,” she snapped back. “It maybe makes it worse because you're there and I feel your cold energy.” TLC Shekinah and Sarper on 90 Day Fiancé
Sarper then highlighted that one of his biggest challenges has been his inability to make money until he and Shekinah get married and he can obtain a work visa.
“I feel trapped, that makes me concerned,” he confessed. “That makes me anxious and depressed. My failure, my mistake, was [to] not to come to you and tell you that. Maybe if I told you instead of being in a bad mood [on] my own, you can be more understanding [of] me.”
Shekinah appreciated Sarper’s vulnerability, but added: “The way that you treat me directly reflects how I am towards you. So if you don't like it, then you need to treat me better. Just show me that you're trying harder, please.
In response, Sarper told Shekinah to touch him.
“That's the problem,” he exclaimed, kissing her hand. “When you don't touch me, you become a bitch. That electricity between us. Look, you're smiling. I love it.” TLC Shekinah and Sarper on 90 Day Fiancé
“Because you called me a bitch,” Shekinah said, but Sarper persisted: “Even we are mad, we [should] always touch each other. When we are talking, touch. You love my chest.”
When Shekinah started giggling, Sarper told her that she was “so beautiful in my eyes,” and she thanked him for the compliment.
“I've heard Sarper say that he's going to try to do his best so many times,” she later confessed to cameras. “Just do better. I worry that it will always be something, that once he corrects one thing, something else will pop up."
"If Sarper doesn't improve on the things that he promised to today, I don't know if I would marry him," she continued. "Good sex is not enough reason to get married.”
