In the latest episode of "The Valley," titled "Checking In," Bravo viewers saw Jax Taylor check into a rehab facility after being pushed by his soon-to-be ex-wife, Brittany Cartwright.

In the show and recent interviews, Taylor said the only reason he got serious about his recovery was for his 3-year-old son, Cruz.

However, Brittany Cartwright feels differently. In fact, she said the villainous reality star likely wouldn't have gone to rehab had his job with the network not been on the line.

Brittany Cartwright Believes Jax Taylor Only Checked Into Rehab To Save His Job On 'The Valley'

During her appearance on the "MisSpelling" podcast, Cartwright, 36, said Taylor only checked into rehab because he knew his job with Bravo and on their new reality show, "The Valley," was in jeopardy.

“I think if his job wasn’t on the line, he wouldn’t have went [to rehab],” she said.

Cartwright also blasted Taylor for saying their son, who was recently diagnosed with autism, was the primary reason he left to get help.

“On the show, he’s like, ‘I’m going to miss out on a lot of things.’ Then, he says, ‘Going to miss out on Cruz.’ I feel like he knew that he was going to miss out [on] 30 days of not filming 'The Valley' with us," she continued.

Later, on the podcast, Cartwright said she had to gather Taylor's friends, family, and bosses to help push him to seek treatment.

“I got everybody combined joining teams with me that he needed to get help,” she said. “If he does not go to rehab, I’m going to have to do something. The cops were almost called.”

She continued, “The cops were going to be called if he did not at least go and try to get help. I think, like 100 percent, he wouldn’t have went at that time because he was still in denial."

"You had to hit your rock bottom and stuff to actually want to go get help for yourself. For some reason, I think that he was still not at that rock bottom," she added.

According to Cartwright, Taylor told her that he'd "never forgive" her for making him check into rehab.

However, Cartwright, who married Taylor in 2019, seemed unbothered by his statement.

“I was like, ‘One day you will realize that I was the only person who loved you enough to make you do this,’” she said. “He still has his issues with me about it.”

In March, while appearing on the "Hot Mic" podcast, Taylor opened up about his decades-long addiction to cocaine.

“I have substance issues—primarily with cocaine. It’s hard to say out loud," he said before admitting he's struggled with this battle "since I was 23 and now I'm 45."

The reality star continued: "There [were] times where I would stop doing it, but then there were times where I'd go heavy on it."

Since speaking out about his past struggles with the illicit substance, Taylor has shared in separate interviews that he's now over 130 days sober.

Following the premiere of the second episode, which aired on April 22, Kristen Doute shared her feelings about Taylor's coming forward about his addiction struggles and his sober lifestyle.

"I hope that he is sober. I hope he’s telling the truth," she said. "I haven’t seen anything that has made me think otherwise as of late, so kudos to him, of course."

Doute, who joined the Bravo family in 2013 alongside Taylor in "Vanderpump Rules," added, "I think Jax’s personality will always trade one addiction for another," she said. "So what that next thing will be, I don’t know, and I’m not saying a substance necessarily."

While speaking with Tom Schwartz about the second season of "The Valley," in which the latter will make an occasional appearance, Taylor admitted it was hard for him to watch and that it evoked strong emotions in him.

"I did watch it. I sat in the corner and I cried my eyes out. I was so disgusted about what I saw, about that shell of a human being that I was looking at, about how I acted," Taylor told Schwartz on his podcast, "In the Mind of a Man."

"It was just utter disgust. And, you know, I looked at it like, 'Wow. I'm glad I watched this because I never wanna be that person again,'" he finished.
