Earlier this week, Chrissy Teigen went live on social media with her face wrapped in beige bandages, sparking concern amongst fans.
After many questions and much speculation, Chrissy Teigen is finally clearing the air, revealing why she underwent surgery.
Chrissy Teigen Reveals She Underwent Hairline-Lowering Surgery

The 39-year-old model and TV personality, who initially gave no context for the bandages earlier this week, took to social media on Friday to explain the mystery procedure.
"Hi friends! A lot of you are wondering about my hospital pic, which is very understandable as I gave no explanation, lol," Teigen wrote alongside a new image that showed small stitches along the front of her scalp.
The "Cravings" author went on to clarify that she got a hairline-lowering procedure, which was prompted by postpartum hair loss.
“I had a hairline-lowering procedure. Lost a lot in the front from babies, and it's just very thin up there,” she explained. “When you see it on a red carpet, it’s ALWAYS extensions.”
What Is A Hairline Procedure?

According to Dr. Douglas Sidle, forehead reduction surgery, also known as hairline lowering or scalp advancement, is a cosmetic procedure aimed at reducing the space between the hairline and eyebrows.
The surgery works by repositioning the hair-bearing scalp further down the forehead to create a lower, more balanced hairline. Considered a high-satisfaction procedure, most patients report being very pleased with the outcome.
Forehead reduction surgery is a relatively straightforward procedure typically performed by experienced facial plastic surgeons. The operation generally takes around three hours, though the exact duration can vary based on individual needs.
Chrissy Teigen Embraces Surgical Scars In Bold Look

Chrissy Teigen isn’t afraid to show a little skin or a little honesty.
Last year, the "Cravings" author turned heads during a rare night out with husband John Legend, confidently revealing her surgical scars in a plunging black dress while sharing the candid moment with fans on Instagram Stories.
“Date night, very rare but it happens… boobies out, scars out,” Teigen said in the short clip, wearing her hair in loose waves and accessorizing with a shimmering gold body chain.
“Wear a body chain, it hides it, kind of,” she joked, pointing to the delicate jewelry draped across her chest.
Teigen Admits To Three Boob Jobs

The former "Lip Sync Battle" co-host has long been open about her cosmetic journey. Back in January, during an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen," Teigen confessed she’s had her breasts done three times.
“I’ve had a lift, a put in, a take them out,” she said with a laugh. “I don’t like them out.”
The moment came while playing a truth-or-lie game with "Below Deck" alum Kate Chastain. Teigen initially presented her statement as a fib, but quickly clarified it was, in fact, the truth.
“I feel like the boob job thing is never going to come back around and now no one’s going to know,” she joked.
Chrissy Teigen Reveals Why She Got Breast Implants At 20

She first revealed she had breast implants in 2020, when she was about 20 years old.
"It was more for a swimsuit thing," she told Glamour U.K. at the time. "I thought if I'm going to be posing, laid on my back, I want them to be perky! But then you have babies and they fill up with milk and deflate and now I am screwed."
Chrissy shares four children with her husband: Luna Simone (born April 2016), Miles Theodore (born May 2018), Esti Maxine (born January 2023 via IVF), and Wren Alexander (born June 2023 via surrogate). The couple also experienced the heartbreaking loss of a pregnancy in 2020 with their son Jack, a moment Chrissy and John later revealed was a life-saving abortion.
“My wife, she was well past 15 weeks when she had to have an abortion,” John Legend told Shannon Sharpe. “She was miscarrying and bleeding out, and all these things were happening.”
“Her life was in danger,” Legend affirmed, before opening up about how personal an experience that was. “When we went through all these fertility struggles and then had a miscarriage, it made it even more clear to me how personal everything [is] that happens in that room with your ob-gyn."
