Olivia Plath has moved on from Ethan Plath.

During the fifth season of Welcome to Plathville, Olivia's relationship with her husband, Ethan, unraveled. The couple split in February 2023 and filed for divorce the following year in February 2024.

A few months later, Olivia revealed on the sixth season of Welcome to Plathville that she was dating a new man named Brendan. During one episode, the couple went for a romantic weekend in Sedona, Ariz., where they cuddled by a fire and exchanged the words "I love you."

“I'm very much a head-first kind of guy,” Brendan told cameras. “If I like someone or if I like something, I want to dive head first into it. I feel like there's not really another point to do anything else.”

While Brendan made a few appearances alongside Olivia in season 6 of the TLC series, he has yet to appear in season 7, which premiered on July 22. He was most recently featured on Olivia’s Instagram in April 2025, in which she shared several photos celebrating her birthday.

Olivia and Brendan met at work

Olivia, who works as a traveling wedding and elopement photographer, was shooting a couple in Washington D.C. when she met Brendan.

The couple had a pet dog that they wanted in their wedding portraits. "Low and behold, the cutest little dog walker in D.C. brings the dog in for the portraits and there was this little flirty eye contact," Olivia revealed in a September 2024 episode of Welcome to Plathville.

Following their meeting, Olivia and Brendan dated for a few months before becoming official.

They share a love of animals

Both Brendan and Olivia are animal lovers. Olivia grew up on a farm, while Brendan had pets like frogs and gerbils growing up, since his dad was allergic to dogs. Today, he works full time as a pet sitter.

"Olivia, I think she loves animals just as much as I do," Brendan said on a September 2024 episode of Welcome to Plathville. "It would be a lie to say we didn't bond over animals. It's honestly something I love about her."

They’ve traveled together

As a traveling wedding photographer, Olivia frequently goes on trips all over the world.

Brendan has joined Olivia on a number of those trips, including to the Netherlands and to the Bahamas.

Olivia introduced fans to Brendan in a September 2024 episode of Welcome to Plathville. Following that segment, Olivia posted on social media about how being in the relationship made her feel like a "goober."

"If you watched last night's episode of #welcometoplathville you may be entitled to compensation. ????????," she captioned a collection of behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram. "I pledge to broaden my language horizons beyond ‘I love you,’ ‘I love you,’ and ‘I love you.’ Guess feeling loved and in love can bring out the goober in some of us ????????."

She continued, "Sincerely, Someone who believes in loving hard and showing it but was also cringing (just a little) alongside all of you ????????."

They have matching tattoos

Before Olivia and Ethan separated, they got matching tattoos of playing card logos on their wrists. Now, she and Brendan have matching sea turtle tattoos that they got during a trip to the Bahamas.

However, Olivia doesn't plan on removing her original ink.

"When I look at [the playing card tattoo], I think of the first 25 years of my life and what I thought I wanted and who I was, and when I look at [the turtle tattoo], I think of who I am now," she said during a September 2024 episode of Welcome to Plathville. "I don't feel like I have to erase chapters of my life."

Olivia moved to Washington D.C., where Brendan is based

Although the couple met while Olivia was still based in Los Angeles, she moved to Washington D.C. by the end of 2024, she confirmed on Instagram.

After experiencing an up-and-down relationship with Ethan's parents, Barry and Kim Plath, Olivia said she was happy to have had a pleasant experience meeting Brendan's family.

"I met them all in one night," Olivia said during a September 2024 episode of Welcome to Plathville. "His immediate family and all his extended family. It was overwhelming, but they were all so kind to me, and I appreciate that.”
