Law & Order — the long-running procedural created by Dick Wolf — has spanned decades and multiple spinoffs. But it's the interpersonal relationships between the hardworking detectives and prosecutors that keep fans coming back for more.

Law & Order originally ended in 2010 after 20 seasons. However, the show returned in February 2022, picking up right where it left off with season 21. The revival featured several new cast members, including Hugh Dancy as Executive Assistant District Attorney (ADA) Nolan Price and Odelya Halevi as ADA Samantha Maroun.

Now in season 22, things have been getting complicated for Manhattan DA Nicholas Baxter (Tony Goldwyn), who has a new romance with Kate (Maggie Siff).

“It gets a little messy in his relationship,” Goldwyn told TV Insider in March 2025.

In real life, though, Goldwyn has been married to his wife Jane Musky for over 35 years. He's not the only cast member with a longtime partner: Dancy and his wife, actress Claire Danes, tied the knot in 2009.

Here’s everything to know about the real-life partners of the Law & Order cast.

Hugh Dancy, who portrays Executive ADA Nolan Price, has been in a relationship with actress Claire Danes for nearly 20 years.

The pair first met on the set of Evening in 2006, where they played fictional love interests. In September 2009, the couple wed in a private ceremony in France.

“Marriage is wonderful. It’s challenging ... and it just keeps getting deeper,” Danes told Net-A-Porter's digital fashion magazine The Edit (via Entertainment Tonight) in 2015. “I have this incredible security. It's a huge asset to have a partnership with someone you trust and admire, and want to make out with.”

Dancy and Danes are also the proud parents of two sons, Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy and Rowan Dancy, and a daughter whose name has not yet been publicly revealed.

The couple have worked together before. Aside from their on-set meeting, Dancy guest-starred on Danes' Homeland during its final season — and Law & Order isn't off the table, either. As a teenager, Danes was featured in a season 3 episode of the show, and Dancy would love to have his wife back for more.

“I would be entirely open to [it]. I can talk [to her] and ask her,” he told Entertainment Tonight in March 2023. “It’s a nice [idea].”

Odelya Halevi plays ADA Samantha Maroun, the strong, opinionated prosecutor.

While fans haven't seen much of the character's personal life, Halevi has been in a relationship with real estate agent Aaron Mazor since 2022.

In August 2023, Halevi and Mazor got engaged, and the actress shared the happy news on Instagram.

“We’re no longer dating,” she wrote alongside a carousel of photos showing off her ring.

Speaking to PhotoBook magazine in December 2024, Halevi revealed that she and Mazor will marry in the upcoming fall.

"By November I will be married to the love of my life and hoping to achieve my next goal and a long-time dream of starring in a film or a miniseries," she told the outlet.

Mehcad Brooks joined the series in season 22 as Detective Jalen Shaw, an attorney-turned-cop.

The year before, the actor married Frida Brooks (née Kardeskog), a Swedish-born meditation and mindfulness teacher.

While Brooks typically maintains his privacy, he and Frida have both posted affectionate messages about each other on social media.

“Wishing a happy birthday to my love, my best friend, my teacher and my wife,” Brooks wrote on Instagram in May 2024. “I could go on and on about what kind of woman she is, what kind of soul, what she embodies and it still wouldn’t do her justice.”

Reid Scott and Elspeth Keller

Veep alum Reid Scott plays Jalen Shaw’s new partner, Detective Vincent Riley, a family-driven veteran officer with a troubled past.

In real life, Scott has been married to his wife, screenwriter Elspeth Keller, since June 2014. They were introduced through mutual friends and spent months talking before finally meeting face-to-face.

“I was in the elevator of the Sony building, and when the doors opened up, she was standing there wearing this vintage teal Chanel dress, and our eyes just locked,” he told Harper’s Bazaar in August 2015.

Scott continued, “One of her best friends actually snapped a picture of the moment of us meeting, and I blew it up and gave it to her as a wedding present.”

The couple are also parents of two sons. They welcomed their first child, Conrad Scott, in 2015, followed by son Damon in 2018.

Tony Goldwyn, who portrays Manhattan District Attorney Nicholas Baxter, has been married to production designer Jane Musky since 1987.

The pair started dating in the early 1980s and, according to Goldwyn, it was love at first sight.

“I knew when I was 21 when I met her, I better hang on because I’ll never come across this again,” he added.

Goldwyn and Musky welcomed their first child together, Anna, in May 1990. Five years later, in March 1995, their second daughter, Tess, was born.

Speaking to PEOPLE in May 2024, the actor said “respect” is the secret to their long-lasting marriage.

“I married someone who I have a very deep respect for, both her professional gifts, but also her humanity and her character,” he said. “I just am always sort of in awe of who she is as a person. That makes our relationship always interesting to me. She's always interesting to me."

Maura Tierney, who joined the 24th season of Law & Order as Lt. Jessica Brady, hasn't publicly shared if she's in a relationship. Tierney was previously married to actor Billy Morrissette from 1993 to 2006.

While their marriage didn’t work out, Tierney and Morrissette have stayed in touch over the years. “We’re very friendly now,” she said in a 2018 interview with The New York Times. “It’s about love.”
